FreeWrites GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

The writing assignments that will appear below throughout the course of the semester are INFORMAL in nature. You can consider them as brainstorming activities or journal entries. They will be graded on completion more than anything else. THAT SAID, if your responses are so roughly written that I have a difficult time reading/understanding them (for example, the spelling and grammar is very, very weak) and/or if it appears as if you have no idea what you're talking about (for example, it's obvious you haven't listened to the podcast), you will be penalized. These papers should look like "proper" papers in MLA format, meaning that they should be typed in Times New Roman 12-pt font, should be double-spaced, and should have a proper heading. Please see the attached document entitled, "Essay Formatting" if you have questions about what a paper in MLA format should look like. 

How long should these responses be? Perhaps shoot for 250 words. Or at least eight very good sentences. If you are not doing these responses correctly, I will be sure to let you know early on.

By this point, we’ve learned many, many details about this case, including the “inconsistent” stories of both Jay and Adnan. On numerous occasions, we hear Sarah herself struggling with what to make of the (at least three) versions of what happened that afternoon.

At this point in listening to the podcast, do you believe, based on the material presented, that Adnan killed Hae? Why or why not?
