Dear friend,

I hope that you are doing well as I am doing. I am writing this letter to inform you that it is essential that a student be able to do fluency instruction because of the many advantages associated with the study.

Fluency instruction is when a student can read and accurately connect the text, usually when the child is at mid-year of the first grade. Before a child can be in this position, it is essential that there may be additional phonics. He should be given instructions on how to study words, and when a child is helped, he can be able to catch up and know so much about reading at a very early stage more than you could ever imagine, (Mize & Park, 2020).

The importance of fluency instructions is that the child will be able to recognize words at an individual level and not be asking many questions because at least he is in a part of reading some comments. This will help the child outshine decoding, and he will be reading words without so many struggles. The child must be in this state so that he can differentiate between recognizing and comprehending. It helps the child know what she is supposed to say next, and that's what the child focuses on in this stage. Therefore fluency instruction is essential.

There are so many ways of teaching fluency. Every person must know which strategy suits the child best, and then teaching through her best approach will help attain fluency instruction. The first thing that should always be done is to record the child when he reads aloud without her consent. The recordings are then to be analyzed to provide help where it is necessary. Another way of teaching fluency is allowing the children to use a ruler or a finger as they are reading until fluency instructions are achieved. It is also essential that one enables children to repeatedly read the same thing until they become familiar with it. The teacher must do a pre-teach vocabulary when words are separate from the essay that they are reading, (Fenty, et al, 2020).

For teaching fluency to be improved, it is important that the teacher and the instructor should use as many materials and books as possible. After getting many materials, the teacher should set those same words in different sizes and fonts to see if there is a difference. A stress-free environment will work as an ambient environment for the kids to learn fluency.

Fluency instruction is beneficial to struggling readers because, at long last, they will be able to improve their fluency. For example, when a teacher reads first, and then the children are repeating, they will enhance their fluency. Students in a class of echo reading and choral reading will be in a position to help students struggling with fluency. The student should be encouraged to do the partner reading to boost fluency instruction.

I can see the most important thing to focus on during the student's fluency instruction is the issue of reading skills, which will automatically help improve fluency. This strategy is known as phonemic awareness—phonics intervention skills, comprehension reading intervention strategies, and techniques on vocabulary interventions, (Rasinski, et al, 2017)
