Topic: Are ancient myths relevant? Suggested title: The Relevance of The Flood in The Gilgamesh Select one myth (a floating tale) from the Epic of Gilgamesh or from The Hebrew Bible/The Old Testament, and explain the relevance of this myth--if any-- to the modern life. Write at least 500 words, in at least 5 paragraphs. The first paragraph introduces the literary work and the role of the mythological tale in the larger story/text . The first paragraph ends with a thesis sentence that introduces at least three point of relevance that this myth has to the modern world, and it ends with a thesis sentence that contains the topics for at least three middle paragraphs. Each middle paragraph develops one of the points of relevance with examples and quotations from the text of the story. NO quotations from secondary sources are allowed. Quotations must be followed by parenthetical in-text citations. This essay will have only one primary Works Cited, the text of the work you have read. Follow MLA rules attached.
