Instructions: Visit https://mavorgs.campuslabs.com/engage/organizations and find an organization that interests you. This organization must be in a STEM field, but does not necessarily have to be related to Computer Science and Engineering. For instance, if you’re interested in the automotive industry, you can pick the Society of Automotive Engineers, even though this is usually associated with the Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering department. Write one original paragraph about the history of the organization. If you have can’t find any information about the history of the organization, choose a different organization. Then write one paragraph about why this organization interests you, and what benefits you’d receive from joining. Remember: all assignments will be processed with SafeAssign. If you copy-paste the ‘About’ portion of the organizations website, that is plagiarism and will be penalized accordingly. Turn In: Submit your essay as a Word document via Blackboard. Include a proper essay header with your name, student ID number, date, and the section of 1105 you’re enrolled in. Failure to include a proper header will result in a deduction of 25 points. The .doc file should be named hw4.netid.doc where netid is their student netid in the form of abc1234. Failing to correctly name the file will result in a deduction of 25 points.
