First watch the video:
Second read chapter10 ( In the attachment)
Third do the homework:
After reviewing the videos assigned for the Being Mortal assignment, compose a paper with reflections on your reactions and thoughts on the issues that were brought up. Please use at least of 700-1000 words.
First Page Content: Place the following information on the first page of your paper:
YOUR NAME, the Course title, and a descriptive title.
Content Information:
Your paper should include:
Introduction
· Summarize the material you are writing about.
· Transition to the body of the paper with a statement about the major points you wish to make.
Body
· Provide specific, relevant examples and explanations supporting your points. In this paper, you are encouraged to integrate what you saw and heard in the Being Mortal videos with your thoughts and reactions, taking into account any other related material in the course and personal experience as appropriate to the points you choose to make.
· Specifically:
· DO: include short quotes as well as brief summaries of personal experiences to illustrate your points. You may assume the reader has already seen the videos and read the text, so you should NOT devote too much of your word count to summarizing the materials from the course at great length. Devote the majority of your writing to reflecting on the material in your own words and expressing your ideas while supporting your assertions with evidence.
· GO BEYOND the standard high school-level approach of merely writing: "I liked this because it is so cool and made me feel warm and fuzzy," or "I hated it because it was stupid, and was too depressing and boring." Instead, identify what was learned, and how your understanding, views and/or opinions may have been challenged or changed or reinforced by this material, if at all. Give examples of how your views may have changed or been strengthened; or, perhaps, of ways in which the material may have failed to persuade you to Gawande’s point of view and why).
Conclusion
· Your overall reaction to the material and concluding thoughts.
