This project has three parts:
Part A: Create a usable table of elements you can use in document design
Part B: Redesign a poorly designed document (provided for you)
Part C: Write a reflection about what you learned and about your design choices when redesigning the poorly designed document.
Part A: Create a usable table of elements you can use in document design
Include a minimum of 10 items. You decide which items you want to include. You may organize and design the chart anyway you like but you should include the following:
· Name of the design tool
· Description of the design tool you write in your own words
· How the element is is used in document design
· How it helps the reader
· Clean hyperlink to some information about it
Things to consider:
· Use what you learn about design to design your table.
· Use an informal writing style.
· Write all material in your own words.
· Write in fragments, rather than full sentences.
· Align your text for readability.
· Use parallel structures when writing.
Part B Redesign a poorly designed document. In Blackboard, you will find a folder of poorly designed documents about time-management techniques. Choose one and apply what you know about document design to create an easily readable, appealing document that your readers—and you—can use.
Part C: Reflect on your design and repurposing decisions Write an informal reflection discussion the design choices you made when writing.
