Roadmap / Learning Plan

After completing this assessment, you should be able to:

· Develop a plan to achieve academic and career goals

· Create an infographic (visual representation of information) outlining your educational experience, goals and plans for the future.

The most challenging part of the final project in ISC 100 is to take the answers to the questions outlined below and present in a visual format. For this reason we will begin to answer the questions (point form) in order to break this assignment down into smaller manageable steps. You will submit your written answers as a draft, worth 10% of your final mark. The list of draft questions to include can be found below and also as a separate document in this folder. Ask your professor for guidance and/or direction.

30% of grade

10% for draft written responses

20% for final product.

Instructions for completing this deliverable:

1. In this Assignments section of mySeneca, you’ll find # templates for your roadmap. Use these ones, or create your own — you will not be limited by format.

2. Populate your roadmap, incorporating the key elements listed below.

Notes or Guidelines:

Your infographic should incorporate an honest, open appraisal of your own past experience and self-knowledge, as well as the goals and plans you have for your future. It should address the elements outlined below, but be sure to make it reflect your own particular situation in a personally meaningful way. There should be no complete sentences, instead visual and graphics to represent your thoughts and direction.

Key elements:

· Describe your main purpose for attending college. Why are you attending college now?

· What do you really want to gain from your efforts? What motivates you the most to succeed in school?

· Ways you can become involved at Seneca – please make reference to Reflection #1

· Resources you can use

· What Grades do you hope to achieve (be realistic) – something about GPA

· What strengths and areas for improvement do you plan to focus on this semester?

· What can you do to improve academic performance?

· Events/Workshops that can support your academic success and campus engagement

· What are you plans for next semester?

· What are your educational or career goals for after you leave Seneca? How did you decide them? What were the influences on your decision?

Don’t sit down to do this all at once. Gather the information, work on it a section at a time and give yourself time to reflect on and refine what you have written. Be as thorough as you can be provide as much depth and detail to cover each area well. This describes a path from your past to your future– give it enough attention and effort to make it a great one!
