Reflect on the document and share your perspective on the study's importance, choice of measures, and the conclusions made by the researchers.
The article exhibits a high degree of comprehensiveness and coherence in its elucidation of the indicators of organizational quality. The present investigation aims to assess healthcare professionals' perceptions regarding the quality assurance programs implemented at Angkor Hospital for Children. The research was conducted on four distinct focus groups comprising 29 hospital staff members selected from different departments (Henker et al., 2018). The study employs thematic content analysis to underscore the principal themes. The research emphasizes that the quality indicators comprised physical and psychological contexts. The research encountered obstacles stemming from a need for more employees' understanding of the processes related to organizational quality indicators and the overall functioning of the OQA.
If you were a researcher conducting this study, what would you have done differently? Why and how?
The researchers gather empirical evidence and oversee the quality metrics to ascertain the precise adherence to established criteria. When presented with the opportunity to carry out this research, it has decided to concentrate on establishing techniques centered on primary care. The most reliable quality indicators are those that can be monitored over time. Before employing any methodology to conduct the research, it is in everyone's best interest to determine whether or not it is practicable and trustworthy first. The research is centered on the healthcare personnel to assess the quality benchmarks within the hospital entity. Alternatively, I would have taken into account all available organizational frameworks. This encompasses the personnel, machinery, and operational frameworks within the organization. Similarly, I would have investigated the processes within hospitals, such as the diagnostic procedure, the study of patients, laboratory tests, and communication between patients and those who offer medical care.
Do you agree with the concussions of the study? Why yes or no? Offer examples to support your opinion.
I concur with the conclusions of the investigation conducted on this facility. Integrating bottom-up and top-down approaches in establishing quality improvement objectives is crucial in fostering employee engagement in organizational quality assurance. Furthermore, implementing quality improvement measures should be a regular and mandatory practice within organizational settings. Nevertheless, I would have desired a better understanding of patient satisfaction, morbidity, and mortality rate.
