Introduction:
- Everything shows and proves that the United Staes during the civil rights movement had its ups and downs (Inequality)
- My argument is that women and African Americans suffered a lot through this period; they were never supposed to go through this in the first place.
Examples:
- Blacks had their rights, but they were discriminated thought the country.
- Martin Luther's speech "I have a dream . . ."
- Women did not have equal rights as men; they played a significant role throughout the years before, but they were still not given their rights until later.
- National Organization for women
- Women and African Americans gaining rights to vote, Allowed everyone to use government services, people are also offered fair trials, no discrimination in public places.
Conclusion:
Life is never fair; African Americans and women suffered a lot during the early 19th century. These people were always relevant to society; people's mentality during that period was too small for them to view them of who they are. No one can really explain how rough their lives were during that time.
