Discussion # 8: Women and feminism in the 1920s, women and feminism today.

Look at the cartoon in Unit 3 by artist John Held. What, obviously, was his point about women and feminism in the 1920s? Was he correct? Do you believe the changes he is portraying in the cartoon were helpful to women--or harmful? What about modern feminism? Has modern feminism helped or hurt women? Why or why not?
