HIP140 Business Etiquette: Capstone Project 1

Capstone Project Part 1 Description:

You have been hired as the manager of operations for a brand new hotel located in the city’s central business district. The hotel is advertised as luxurious and cosmopolitan with the lowest priced room for one night at $1,000.00 and the VIP Penthouse suite for $10,000.00. You are responsible for hiring the hotel front desk staff, concierge, coat room, wait staff, cleaning staff, and bell hops.

1) Choose one of the positions you are hiring for and write an ad that you intend to place on Indeed.com. What attributes do you want the ideal person to have? How should they behave when on duty? What might be the duties that they will be required to do? Write at least one paragraph for this portion of the capstone.

2) You have hired for all of the positions but now need to create the dress code. Taking into consideration what you have studied so far, the high price and luxury of the hotel, and the people you chose, create the dress code for the position that you advertised for in Question 1. Describe all aspects of their appearance: hair style, make-up, clothing colors and style, style of shoe, and anything else you want them to wear. Write at least one paragraph for this portion of the capstone.
