Research Proposal Outline
Topic: Safety Strategies at the Workplace
Problem Statement: The problem is that safety strategies and drills have not been planned out or rehearsed. This practice seems to have been forgotten subsequently to the onset of the pandemic.
Best practice used to address your problem: By incorporating monthly safety drills, it will be less likely for injuries or death to occur when there’s a real disaster.
Hypothesis: Employees will be better prepared when faced with any type of emergency or disaster.
Study Population: The study population will consist of employees who have been with the agency before the pandemic, who were aware of the safety drills versus the new employees. The new employees have never been introduced to safety procedures.
Variables (independent and dependent): By completing mock drills satisfactorily. The data from pre-training to post training will be provided to the employees for comparison.
Brief Plan of action for executing experimental design: Employees will be divided into two groups, new employees, and old employees. We will perform several mock safety drills, that will include fire and tornado/hurricane. Both groups will unknowingly, be observed during the drills. Each drill, fire and hurricane/tornado will be performed twice. Once the exercise has been done twice, the employees will be trained on the proper way to react and respond in an emergency.
