Final Project – Travel Brochure Point Value 100 points

Your assignment is to make a travel brochure.

You may make a tri-fold pamphlet or a pamphlet using full sheets of 8 1/2 by 11 paper.

You may also create a brochure in power point if you choose.

You will want to be creative with your ideas.

You are trying to sell me on traveling to this destination.

If I were coming to that location this summer what would I want to do, where would I want to go, what would I need to know, and what would I like to eat?

You will want to do research on the computer about your location. You will also have information from our class notes on these locations that you may use.

The choices of locations can be anywhere we discuss in class.

Egypt as well as any other part of or all of Africa, China, Japan, Korea, India, Bangladesh, the ancient Maya, Aztec, or Incan sites, and the Middle East, including Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Syria, Jerusalem and more. Big areas such as China, Africa, India could be broken down into regions as well. So if you wish to do a brochure on your local region you may do this.

Grading – 80 points for content – which should include:

The country of origin on the cover.

Name 7 places to see.

4 points for each location total 28 points

List 7 interesting facts.

4 points for each item total 28 points

Tell at least 3 things about the country- climate, geography, etc.

4 points for each item total 12 points

Tell at least 3 things about the people – tradition, foods, etc.

4 points for each item total 12 points

Grading – 20 points for creativity
