Directions: Choose one of the following questions to respond to with a short essay. Your response must be a multi-paragraph essay, no more than 1 page in length. See the rubric below for further information on grading.

Questions:

1) What conclusion can you draw in regards to religion in ancient Western civilization?

2) How would you portray any figure (fictional or real) of the ancient Western world?

3) Why was it better to have divine monarchs than democracy, or vice versa?

4) Which civilization’s treatment of women could be considered superior to all others? Why?
