Scenario: You are the health educator for your local school district and have been asked by the superintendent to attend the local school board meeting to present on school violence, specifically bullying as a public health issue.

Homework Prompt: (minimum 1 paragraph per question)

1. Why is bullying a public health issue?

2. Discuss two risk factors related to bullying (ex: Heart disease risks are obesity, poor nutrition)

3. If you were to design an anti-bullying campaign for your local ISD, briefly explain what this would look like and who you would ask to be involved. [Hint: Chapter 5, CDC, HP2020)

· In addition to your textbook, you must back each question prompt with (1) outside credible sources. One of your resources for #1-3 needs to be a peer-reviewed article.
