Sarah’s Circle

Sarah’s Circle is a nonprofit organization located in Illinois. The organization is all about refugee women who have found themselves homeless and need a place they can feel safe. The organization provides housing, management of cases, basic necessities in life and referral programs. Additionally, the organization offers the refugee women a chance to empower themselves and other women in the community. In 2019, the organization was able to house 110 women and this was 21% more than the women they helped in 2018 ("21% Increase In Women Housed!"). The statistics indicate that the organization is necessary and what they are doing is successful in giving women a second chance in life.

Center for Conflict Resolution

This is an organization that is located in Chicago in the United States and it has a mission of ensuring peace and growth in the community by providing conflict resolution services. The organization has several programs such as preserving strong communities with stable housing. This project was designed to ensure that people of Chicago are not displaced from their homes due to rent (Resolution, and Lively). This project is supported by contributions from well wishers. The company provides solutions to housing problems through courts and mediators.

How Does Habitat for Humanity Fit in the County

Habitat for Humanity of Brevard County, Inc.(HFHBC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, ecumenical is an organization whose dedication is to ensure that it eliminates all substandard housing from the county by facilitating an environment where the county residents are able to afford the houses or by building homes for them. The organization targets residents, who earn low income, are hardworking people with families but they cannot afford the conventional mortgages offered. Habitat for Humanity organization offers the people a hand up and its success is measured by the number of affordable homes they have provided to residents of Brevard County. The Habitat for Humanity organization fits in its county on various fronts but the main way through which it has been able to help the community is by providing them with homes. The organization being a nonprofit Christian organization has provided affordable shelter to a lot of homes that would have found it impossible to afford. The organization has also partnered with other organizations of similar values in the county to try and help the community in way that they could, for example, under Faith Build program, the organization has partnered with Thrivent and together they have been able to facilitate shelters through voluntary work, financial contributions, prayers, lunch for on-site workers and participation in ground breaking events.

Additionally, the organization has other programs that are established to help the county, for example the women build program which brings women from diverse backgrounds together, empower them to sought out their affordable housing needs, recruit and nurture women into construction of simple and affordable houses. Another program offered by the organization is the neighborhood revitalization and veterans build and the main purpose of this program is to revitalize the neighborhoods of Brevard County such that they are in good conditions and the homes are hospitable. Other programs offered by the organization and which are beneficial to the county include home ownership program, home preservation and Brevard builds. The organization has change a lot of lives in the county but not just offering them homes but also financial knowledge and training and also jobs. It is essential that the residents of Brevard County support the activities of Habitat for Humanity organization so that they all can get to enjoy the benefits of the organization. In Brevard county, the organization has renovated about 160, 000 houses and provided over 800,000 homes ("Habitat for Humanity of Brevard County - Titusville, Florida").
