Outline, individually, a behavior plan based on the scenario received from your Learning Team member.
Scenario:
Vincent is an 18-year-old male that has a history of arrests within the juvenile court system. Upon being interviewed, Vincent bragged that he has stolen just about anything from anyone, including from members of his extended family and close friends. All his prior convictions were through the juvenile court system as Vincent has just turned 18 within the last month.
During the interview, Vincent confides in other members of the group that he has a history of alcohol and drug use. He also stated that his mother died when he was age 10 and he was sent to live with his Father, who also suffers from alcoholism. He recounts that he did not spend much time with his Father and that he was sent to different relatives often. He claims that his relatives were not understanding of his situation therefore would kick him out after he stole from them.
Vincent has never held a steady job but says he worked at McDonald’s for a short time when he was 16 years old. He also has not completed High School or received a GED. He stated he can not focus on anything for a long period of time and gives up when things get challenging. During the session, Vincent stated that he felt alone in the world and that he feels he should not strive to do well because no one cares if he succeeds or not.
