Hello Sayman Yonan,
I concur with you that assumptions are good for the project while constraints are bad. Assumptions are believed to be true to the project and can come up with project plan. Constraints are limitations that a person must work within. It is not possible to plan a project without assumptions. Assumptions made should be real. They should access resources required in the project which include material and human. The cost of materials and personnel should be considered in the assumptions. Therefore, amount of cost which will be used in the cost should be true and real in order to complete the project. Constraints in project include project’s timeline, resources and budget. Moreover, constraints cause limitation to completion of project. A person should work within expected resources budget in the allocated time and resources in order to complete project.
Hello Casey Willard,
I concur with you that assumption is an event that one can assume is true while constraints are boundaries for things like time, money and scope that limit the project. Assumptions are anticipated events that are expected in life cycle of a project. They should be real. In addition, assumptions have an impact on the way project will be planned or managed. They include duration and cost of project. Moreover, they should schedule project team members in a member that they do not collide with other projects. Cost should include human and material for the project. On the other hand, constraints limits the work that must be in order to achieve goals. They include time, budget and resources. There must be enough resources to be used in the project within allocated time for completion of the project.
