HEALTH LAW FINAL PROJECT INSTRUCTIONS

Each group shall make a presentation, which at a minimum shall include:

1. An in class presentation on the assigned health care organization (Pharmaceutical company)

2. A power point presentation in proper English and making “substantive use” of at least five (5) “External Authoritative Sources” and the textbook.

1. “Substantive use” for purposes of this course shall mean: narrative or oral presentation of material from each source that explains what was in the source article and how it relates to the organization or one of the three priority issues selected by the group for the presentation.

2. “External Authoritative Sources” for purposes of this course shall mean: books, peer reviewed journal articles, education and government sites as well as non-partisan national or international organizations (such as WHO, UNICEF, UNAIDS etc) provided, the foregoing source/material selected has in text citations and references to support statements made therein. Newspapers including the Wall Street Journal, blogs regardless of source, editorial, panel discussions and dot com sites are not considered authoritative for this course

3. The content of the presentation shall concentrate and provide “updated” and detailed information on three (3) priority issues selected by the group for the assigned healthcare organization.

a. “Updated” for this course shall mean the articles selected as sources must be the most recent available for the proposition being used. The use of string citations and references are encouraged.

All data (facts and figures/statistics) shall be cited/referenced appropriately. References and in text citations shall be in APA Style format. No cutting and pasting of text from any source is allowed. That constitutes plagiarism.
