Mission
Our purpose is to build an environment where everyone is respected, valued and treated equally for the mutual benefit of the patient and the staff professionals.
Vision
Our vision is to build unparalleled, affordable and improved health services to patients we serve.
Goals
The goals of Cactus health center are set to lean towards the patient as he is the sole client whereas our professionals offer their services. Below are the goals of Cactus health center.
• To help teach upcoming talents in the field by collaborating with willing higher learning institutions
• To offer excellent and affordable health services
• To be a global leader in medical research
• To integrate compassion to all its services
Dedicated to achieving its goals, the hospital has 287 beds distributed across various services. On average, the facility accommodates a volume of 3,000 patients in a month including referrals from other hospitals. Due to this large patient flow, it is in the attention of the management to increase the number of bed to 500.
The massive patient flow is due to the wide range of services offered by the facility. These services include; 24-hour maternity service, Cardiac care equipment, an all-time running emergency department, and surgical suites. Besides these, the hospital also has a well-equipped radiology lab offering services such as X-ray imaging, Ultra sound and mammothing, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and CT scans. Other services include Gynecological and urological care, osteoporosis, breast care and oncology. All outpatient services are also provided.
Quality and financial performance indicators
Both Quality and financial performance are indicated through the patient. On quality, the services offered determine the response of the patient. Outstanding services bring good responses thus a suggestion of good services. So far, cactus health center has achieved this. A satisfied patient also indicates the financial responsibility as he is likely to refer other people to us. Again, the hospital has achieved this.
Human resource challenges
· Staff shortages
· Employee exhaustion
· Training and improvement
Diversity issues and Community population statistics
Diversity issues can render communication difficult in the facility. The problem has however been dealt with by hiring equally diverse and understanding experts to handle different patients.
Located in Florida, Miami has a population of 463,347 people making it the 44th most populous city in the United States (Sassen & Portes (1993)) . This population is a positive indication of a possible growth to the facility so as to accommodate more people.
