Introduction

When any organization and company is undergoing any transformation, there are so many aspects that have to be changed from how they were doing things to be useful. Any change in an n organization can happen due to shifting from the strategies that the company was using as it was using initially. The organization has changed; people and other workers must be aware that a change is happening so that they can be ready to embrace it because it is inevitable. In many organizations, many employees resist change. After all, they see change as something which will come and displace them. Others see that as a waste of time and resources as they will learn more so that they can be in a position to implement change in an amazingly effective way (Dictionary, 2019). I will focus on organizational change that has been implemented by Ventre medical, which specializes in mental health.

Adoption of New Technology Systems

In any health facility, health records keep how those people who have mental issues are progressing. This is a systematized collection of all health information and in a digital form (Adams, Ponte, & Somerville, 2016, p. 127). Health and record system provides records. These records are essential to the health care facility, and this is a benefit that cannot be underestimated. When health records have been recorded well, it helps the hospital store data in an exactly accurate way. It is essential to make sure that it can be easy to follow how the patient progresses well. When there are electronic health records on Ventre Medical, it will be straightforward to access the internet data because one has to search for whatever he wanted to obtain from the history. It is a far better way to explore it manually because records have been placed on the files. It takes so much of the time when a health care practitioner is looking for that file. The other important aspect of having electronic health records for mentally ill people is that there will be no struggling when one is trying to read. In most instances, some people have quite different handwritings, which makes some not to read even the right thing. This, in most cases it has brought a lot of issues when they are trying to assess the progress of the patient. In most cases, this makes the patient not be given attention and medication they were supposed to get due to this. Therefore, electronic health records curb this issue (Lee & Kelly, 2011).

Adoption of advanced electronic health records, according to Rogers (2003), does not happen only once. Still, it is a process whereby Ventre Medical Center should be ready to follow. With this, people will be more willing to have the change done in the health facility. The uptake of adoption of new technology in the Ventre medicine will be influenced by five factors on whether they will be able to adopt it or not. They are still dealing with determining the nurses’ attitudes towards adopting that new technology. Explanation of how the adoption of new technology will help improve the current situation that the health sector is already in will make them embrace the change (Lee et al., 2017).

This will be through education on how improved technology will be working, the coordination, and any other important aspect that they will be willing to know regarding new technology. The other thing about advanced health record systems for keeping a mental patient record that they are supposed to know is how the process will be compatible with the health sector. Currently, such that there will be not many changes that will be required to be done so that adoption of the technology will be possible. When technology is more compatible to use, like how they were doing things, in most cases, they are likely to embrace the change. The complexity of the technology and traceability are other characteristics that they will be keen to understand. Complexity means how hard and technical it will be when they start up taking of the technology. Triability means before adopting the technology s to know whether they will be in a position to try it is and understand how it works before they will start adopting and using it as technological advancement in the facility (Burnes, 2018)

.

Steps for obtaining organizational change and challenges that are likely to be faced.

However, suppose the medical Center wants to improve the health records. In that case, it may become a challenge when they will not engage all those involved from the onset of the project. This is because nurses should be the change agent in Ventre Medical. They must be supposed to assess the extent of change so that they can be sure what their roles will be in making sure that all other practitioners have been convinced to undertake the change. Implementing any change in the health sector most of the time becomes a problem because those at the top, in most cases, want to use a top-down approach. Without educating those at grass root levels, this is posting many challenges in the organization. Addressing the problem, there must be education and awareness creation not to resist that change. With the education, they will know what exactly is supposed to be done and when they see that they will see the importance of engaging in the change. They will be carrying it out even without the consent of those at a higher management level. They need education and basics about what will happen and, at the same time, being in a position to know why they are implementing change in the organization. This is through getting all the advantages that may accrue when a change will be implemented in Ventre Medical care (Kaminski, 2019).

The other challenge that the organization is likely to face a challenge when they want to adopt new technology when they want to improve electronic health records is resistance. This is because, in most cases, these people have not been coached or mentored on how the change will be running. When there is resistance, the health care people will be told that they are supposed to do this. When one goes and assesses what was being done, it is met that what is being done is a quite different thing from what was being expected. Mentoring and coaching them can help them soften their hearts to see an advantage that may come from implementing that change. They will see the opportunity that may present them to achieve excellent results in the organization. Much information should be provided as possible. There should be benchmarking on other organizations and facilities that have already adopted that technology. With they will see the practicality of it. Then some will know that it is not a technology that will make them lose their jobs because this is one reason many people usually resist any change that is being implemented in the organization. When they see a place where the technology has worked, they will as well be motivated to work on it so that it can work just as it has worked in the other facility. In the long run, it will be essential to make sure that the work will be more comfortable than it was when they were using manual health records. In most cases, those patients with mental health were not being taken care of in a meaningful way because tracing the progress of the patient was somehow hard when they were using physical means (McGonigle & Mastrian, 2018).

Recommendations for organizational change

Before any company starts implementing organizational change, for instance, in adopting new technology, it is crucial that all those involved should be aware of the technology that the company is willing to undertake. This will make them own the project, and when it reaches the time for implementing of the change, it will be extremely easy for the management to work with those key medical practitioners who will be on the ground to make sure that technology is implemented, and it is working to achieve the purpose as to why it was implemented. The creation of awareness, education, and full participation of everyone will make the implementation of new technology in Ventre Medical care to be extremely easy (Adams et al., 2016).

Conclusion

Change, especially in today’s world, is a compassionate part of the organization to ensure that change has been implemented. This is because even though there will be a lot of training and use of resources but this, in the long run, will help make sure that the company has achieved its goals. Change is inevitable. It is supposed to be a bottom-up approach whereby all the workers are supposed to be aware of what is happening to embrace the change and make sure that they are doing anything to make sure that change has been implemented.
