2. Do you think there are more against people being able to carry more openly due to events that have happened with all the mass shootings? There appears to be more fear of guns from individuals who are not comfortable with them and have been influenced by the media to think that all guns are bad. However, in areas that allow open carry or concealed carry with a higher concentration of permitted people, crime and armed robberies are less.
3. Do you feel that states with more strict gun laws have less crime? No. Stricter gun laws or gun bans allow open pathways for criminals to prey on unprotected citizens.
4. How often do you think gun owners actually prevent crime? A small fraction of the time there is death related to gun owners, however, in areas where criminals know there is a chance someone has a gun there is less crime rate. The problem is... one side of this coin is easy to measure but it's really hard to measure if a crime is stopped before it starts.
5. How often are gun owners killed by their own guns, or their family members because of their recklessness? Small percentage. Far less death than Covid or infection from stumping someone's toe.
6. Do you feel that the Federal ban on assault weapons affected crime rates in America? No. Most Americans own a gun regardless of its an assault weapon or another type of weapon.
