Gun Control, Gun Violence, and School Mass Shootings

The issue of gun control in the United States raises an uproar because of its infringement into the Second Amendment. Most people do not like talking about gun control, believing that it will not stop at just controlling but instead move to abolish gun ownership. However, gun control increases gun violence levels because of the easy accessibility to weapons. In addition, gun violence is also spreading to the school mass shootings that are on a steep rise in school institutions. It is evident across the country that there are cases of a student standing up with a gun and shooting several other schoolmates and then storming off or ending up taking their own lives without any apparent reason. The issue is a significant concern because there are strict policies of no guns to school-going children and even carry the weapons to the learning institutions. However, they still make way to the institutions, which is inappropriate. Gun violence and school mass shootings will drop when there is an adoption of a gun control policy that will help save more lives. Induce good behaviors in the school children, and reduce criminal activities revolving around learning institutions that should have no issue with safety.

The connection between gun control, gun violence, and school mass shootings are evident since over 16 600 children had gun wounds and deaths in 2018. The number is high, and it is a concern because diseases are not killing or putting as many children in health institutions which is a concern by the government instead of introducing strict gun control policies. According to Carlson the gun violence does increase from the fact that there are numerous guns in the homes of people that do not have control over their emotions and disconnection between their feelings and what is morally right and ethical (60). It is not appropriate for an individual to take another person's life; thus, it should not even occur even with guns in society. Lack of grip on the gun situation in the country with a combination of violence and issues such as racism does instill a more significant problem in the society, which is not appropriate.

It is essential to try and introduce the principle that will see an increase in the age of purchasing a firearm. The code is not interfering with the Second Amendment; instead, it will focus on helping ensure that mature people with proper skills can access and handle guns. Society is losing the healthiest part of its population, which is a significant problem because it affects how they plan for the future. It is evident throughout the community that children are the future. Still, with the increasing number of deaths, it is a significant problem resulting in situations that they can easily avoid. The mass shootings in the schools are not a pleasant sight in society, and it is not resulting from terrorism but another student that others saw as a friend or classmate, a schoolmate who ends up taking their life. There are no clear reasons behind the motivation for the killings but instead as a way of trying to connect the dots with the other existing problems such as racism or gun availability (Garbarino, 79). The increase in the age will see a drop in gun violence for the teenagers that have been accessing guns and seek to extort revenge on other fellow teenagers, which is not an appropriate course and reason for one to engage in a mass shootout with defenseless children.

The gun control policy should incorporate the storage and safety of the guns in the homes. The policy will ensure that the already available firearms in the houses do not access the children. Children do not have much hatred. Still, it is slowly building up, and they can blow up from a minor incident such as a teacher punishing them or a parent-related problem at home and then express themselves through gun violence (Mair, 54). The children do not have the right handle on their emotions, and the fact that discipline is already an issue in the country is prone to result in cases such as gun shootings and killings. Introducing such a principle will help ensure that the children cannot get to the guns when they feel frustrated and angry. Adults understand how to deal with disappointments from their parents or places of work, but the children struggle with the concept. They can quickly get the gun and end up killing and injuring others as a way of expressing themselves.

The level of school mass shootings does reveal a significant problem with gun violence in the country. It is an essential concern because the school consists of children that can barely make decisions for themselves, but in the past five years, some of the children have had to run for their lives in a place that should not have a problem of safety. Most of the criminal activities in the learning institutions tend to have clear motives of issues such as finances. Still, the schools do not have many finances, implying a different motivating factor (Underwood, 74). The learning institutions do remain without finances, and thus there is no anticipation of security threats such as gun violence, even from terrorists. Most of the deaths in the past five years in the schools have been a major problem in the lives and interactions of the children because the schools have become places where guns are present.

In school shooting cases, there is no direct trigger for the students in the schools. Instead, it is a form of inherited hatred or violence from their home environment or families. Most of the children have a background of families living with guns or parents that have affiliations to gangs, white supremacists, among others. The factions do trigger the children to take the arms and head with them to school and shoot any student insight.

There is no expectation of a gun in the schools leaves numerous schools in vulnerable situations that they cannot control, thus leading to the loss of countless innocent lives (Cook & Ludwig, 14). The violence inbuilt in the children's home environment consistently results in the students engaging in the shooting violence, which is not appropriate. Gun violence replication in schools should not occur, which is incorrect because it shifts the students' accessibility and attitudes towards their learning institutions.

Gun control is essential because it will help ensure a clear directive on operating with guns. Society does not have significant interactions that fail to work out due to poor directions resulting in a collision course. There is a failure in the existing system that involves the freedom of gun ownership, and thus there is a need to change some of the policies that will help make sure that they help eliminate the level of gun violence in the schools (Goss, 8). The government is failing the learning institutions because they have to ensure that there is no failure to guarantee the best security and safety for the children, especially in an environment where they need to feel safe. The gun control prospects help shift the attitude and interactions in the society, which will help shape the way that they have to interact and connect, and this helps improve their performance. It is important to understand that society is bound to understand and communicate their interactions that will help make sure that there is a clear understanding of the expectations from the gun owners and how to make sure that they do not get into the hands of the wrong people including the children.

The mass shootings are not pleasant, and they have led to children fearing the learning institutions, which should not be the case for children and teens. The schools are vital for helping impose the best traits and practices into the people that will help sustain them in life after school. It is important to understand that the mass shootings have led children to fear attending schools, and this shifts the way that they have pursued their students. Most of the children are seeking to attend schools from their homes, and this is not a good prospect for a wider audience that will push them to understand their interactions. Garbarino explained that the learning institutions are losing their appeal to the students. This is all a result of the gun shootings, whereby most students fail to register the significance of going to school or security for themselves (73). It is a significant problem because some of these children meet, and there is safety, but gun violence is rigging of the reputation, making it a considerable threat.

Most of the streets do have gun violence, and thus schools seek to eliminate such aspects from society to make sure that there is a standard interaction and a better future for the children (Cook & Ludwig, 25). It is important to understand that society is unequal, and guns are not helping because they are widening the gap further, which makes it a major problem. It is evident that society does have a major problem because those of the guns are pushing the others that do not have them to the brinks, which is shaping the way that they do interact. It is important to understand that the gun violence in the schools is encroaching on the ways of the students shifting their interactions which changes the entire narrative of the school. Most students are changing their life habits, which is not appropriate because they feel safe in the learning institutions. The schools have a significant problem achieving their goals, especially in extreme racial discrimination and economic issues. School mass shootings are a significant problem, and they need to halt because there is a need to control the way they do occur and affect the students in the long term.

The aspect of gun violence is accelerated because there are numerous guns on the streets and those available. Multiple guns that commit crimes do not exist in the database or appear at several crime scenes. It is a significant worry for such a developed country to lose its young generation to such failures without much that they can do because of an existing constitution (Bogus, 117). The concept is a major problem because it shapes the way that society does exist, and this is not appropriate because it pushes society towards the achievement of its goals. The move is a significant problem because it changes how the community plans for their future, which is not an appropriate prospect. It is essential to understand that the number of crimes increases in the country due to guns. Other countries such as Japan and the United Kingdom have strict laws regarding gun ownership that pushes them towards having lower rates of gun violence. The United States does struggle with gun violence, and it is a significant threat because even the security guards have to arm themselves with guns which is a considerable problem. In other countries, law enforcement officers are not even carrying their weapons, which implies the lack of a gun control policy.

The fact that gun companies and large corporations pushing guns do them for profit and do not strictly adhere to the existing laws and policies. The companies do not ask questions or ensure that the customer has the right age to own and operate a gun; instead, they focus on sales and profitability. The move has led to children quickly accessing firearms, resulting in a significant school problem. For instance, the companies and government do not consider the number of guns an individual needs to own a substantial threat to society. An individual needs a weapon for their security, and then they do not need to have five guns in their house or end up purchasing the firearms for another person with the guns ending up disappearing into the street (Goss, 13). The guns that appear in several crime scenes imply that the weapon is exchanging hands. This is a significant problem because it affects the execution of the best principles that will see the safety of the children in the streets. The introduction of a policy to curb such organizations and the number of gun ownership per person will help shape how guns get into the streets.

However, there is a need for the education sector to try and find some ways of eliminating inequality in the schools, the children in the schools in all aspects, including treatment, performance, race, accessibility, among others. This aspect contributes to some of the shootings because some of the schools do not have the right resources supporting the minority communities, or there is extensive discrimination ongoing, and a student has enough and thus has to retaliate. Lynch explained that society has to try and also fight the issues of racial discrimination and violence in the community because they contribute to the growth of groups such as the White supremacists that have problems of hatred towards other people (96). The children affiliated with such groups and gangs will execute others without remorse because of the brainwashing that is not appropriate. The hold on such issues does not impact the existence of guns in society because the schools that have proper treatment will see students have acceptable bonds and interactions, helping shape their interactions. In addition, the schools and community inputting appropriate skills into the children with the understanding that taking life and engaging in violent activities is evil and against the law will help shape and reduce gun-related violence. Gun ownership is a human right in the country, and thus they should not have restrictions; instead, they need to educate and elevate the society to learn how to live with guns.
