Overview:

MAKE A POWERPOINT PPT OF 40 SLIDES & SCRIPT

Project presentations are designed to

• demonstrate your conceptual understanding of your project topic by developing visuals to support the explanation of the complex technical information. • professionally communicate scientific/technical ideas. • demonstrate your ability to combine a range of presentation media to effectively engage an audience. • demonstrate your ability to respond to feedback.

Presentation structure:

This task requires you to “translate” complex technical information from your written report to a presentation that

would be of interest to a general audience in an interesting and engaging manner.

Presentation content:

• a project summary: what you set out to do in your project? For whom? With what success? • project process • significant achievements: outline two major achievements of your project • major issues: outline 2 major issues that you had to overcome • lessons learned: Reflect on lessons learned • Includes tables charts and bullet points • Uses shorter sentence in short paragraph • Written in formal language • Uses graphics where possible • Presents information (description and information) • Makes use of numbered heading, and sub heading • Makes use of dot point presentation as well as short concise paragraph

A key skill in the computing disciplines is to be able to translate technical knowledge and understandings to general

audiences in clear and interesting ways. Creating a presentation of an aspect of your project provides an opportunity

to develop these skills.

The presentation can be of the research you completed for your written project and any other aspect that you think

would be appropriate to present.
