Kindly note the following with respect to your 3rd Graded Assignment which is due on Sunday –

12th April, 2020 by 11:55 p.m. EC time.

Note the Guidelines/Requirements provided on Pages 42 – 47 of the Course Guide.

Note also the Presentation Slides 23 – 33 and Recording of the BbC Session #2 hosted on 27th

February, 2020.

Questions:

Focusing on a Caribbean company/organization of your choice, examine 3

major strategies that were implemented within the past 3 – 5 years.

1. Interpret, discuss and evaluate these strategies in depth.

2. From your perspective, identify three (3) key benefits that the

organization has gained from the implementation of the strategies.

3. Develop an Internal Factor Evaluation Matrix (IFE) and a Competitive

Profile Matrix (CPM) for your organization.

4. Construct an External Factor Evaluation Matrix (IFE) for your

organization.

• Briefly, what are your views/perspectives about 3 major strategies that were

implemented within the past 3 – 5 years. Do your analysis and determine what the

strategies have brought to the Company – Positives and/or Negatives

Q2. From your perspective, identify three (3) key benefits that the organization

has gained from the implementation of the strategies.

• Analyze the situation at the organization and from your perspective, identify three (3)

key benefits that the organization has gained from the implementation of the strategies.

• Also, why do you consider the benefits to be important to the organization.

Therefore, note the organization’s stated objectives and identify at least 3 key challenges and 3

key benefits. Also, explain briefly why do you consider the objectives to be key challenges

and/or benefits?

Q3. Develop an Internal Factor Evaluation Matrix (IFE) and a Competitive

Profile Matrix (CPM) for your organization.

You have done this before in the previous Assignment. The process includes the following:

• This stage looks at the SWOT Analysis for the Company selected.

• All you are required to do is present a SWOT Analysis based on the Company’s

situation.

• You do not need to present Tables with the IFE Matrix/Competitive Profile Matrix.

Q4. Construct an External Factor Evaluation Matrix (IFE) for your

organization.

• Based on the SWOT Analysis completed in Q3 above, list/rank the items for each area in

order of importance using 1 – 4. You do not need to present any calculations.

• Having done that, identify and discuss briefly the strategies that the Company can utilize

based on the SWOT Analysis completed in the Input Stage. Then indicate -

• Why have you selected those strategies?

• What benefits can they bring to the Company?

Do not identify strategies that the Company has implemented already.

• Cite your sources of data/information - References – APA 6 citation rules - Correct

formatting

• Typographical/Grammatical errors (marks will be deducted)

• Incorrect File Name (1 mark will be deducted)

Name your file correctly from the start

• Your Student ID number must form part of the Microsoft Word file name. The file name

should take the format “MGMT3031 – XXXXXXXX – A3” where XXXXXXXX will be

replaced with your Student ID number

Example: MGMT3031 – 9006781234 – A3

• You must upload your assignment to the Turnitin Assignment Drop box in the Graded

Activities Section labeled: Assignment 3 - Due: April 12, 2020

• Your Cover Page, Repetition of Questions and References will not form part of your

word count and Similarity Index.

References must reflect the use/inclusion of at least two (2) scholarly sources.
