1. 2. Identify a government tourism policy document.

Read the document and locate a key plan, policy or principle
Investigate and Analyse the specific policy, plan or principle to understand either it has been successful or failed if it is dated or if it is a futuristic plan that does the destination actually have the resources to carry out the plan to be successful?
3. As you work on the above task be mindful of the following points:
a. Review academic and industry literature relevant to the topic. This review should include at least 5 references from the academic literature (this may include books and refereed journal articles). Additional industry literature may be used.
b. Review the stakeholder roles involved in this strategy/initiative/policy with focus on the role of a Destination Management Organisation, but also including government departments, business, non-profit and community organisations.
c. Critically assess the potential impact of this strategy, initiative or policy on tourism businesses, physical environment and the local community.
