Guidelines for the Newspaper Article Report

Objective: To improve student’s ability to apply what they are learning in the class to the issues happening in the outside world.

Guidelines:

· Select any current (could be one or two months old) newspaper or magazine article which is related to any of the course themes/topics.

· Read the article thoroughly and try to apply what you have learnt in the class to the article.

· Write a half to one page report by summarizing the article and applying any course theme or concept to it. Give the source and details of the article at the end of your report.

Criteria for Evaluation (total 5 points)

· Relevance of the Article (1.5 points)

· Communicating the essence of the article (2 points)

· Ability to relate it to the course theme (1.5 points)

Make sure you submit your report by the due date and time.
