GUIDELINE FOR THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE FINAL REPORT.

A. FINAL REPORT

Submit a ten (10) page, type written, double-spaced report. The report should include the following information in regard to the United States Secret Service Agency as an intern:

· Brief History – When was the agency founded? What were the circumstances that led to its founding? What group of the people or individuals were involved in its formation?

· Purpose – What purpose does the agency serve? How does the agency recruit and discharge its clients? Is the agency a maximum, medium, work treatment or a halfway house facility? Is the agency a co-ed institution? A law enforcement agency, a juvenile detention center?

· Finances – How and where does the agency get its operating funds?

· Structure – Who controls this agency (a board, a government body, church, or individuals)? What staff positions exist? How is the agency divided according to programs or services? Provide for clarity a chart indicating the chain of command in the agency.

· Your Role – Be very specific as to your role as an intern with the agency? How does that role fulfill the agency’s purpose?

· Conclusion
