Instructions/Requirements for Group Project Essay

· Topic: Your essay must be written on the topic assigned to your group.

· Length: Minimum length of the essay is 2 pages (2 full pages and 5 lines on page 3) and maximum length of the essay is 2 ½ pages (2 full pages and 15 lines on page 3).

· Format: Essay must be MLA formatted, just like the Argument and Literary Analysis essays.

· Source Requirements: 2 DCCCD academic database sources and 1 print source (print source must be accessed in original printed form and proof submitted, just like Argument and Literary Analysis Essays).

· Outline of Essay:

· Title: Should not exceed 6 words

· Introduction (1 para, 5-7 lines): Introduce topic and state thesis.

· First Body Para (10-15 lines): Explain one or two reasons on the FOR side of the issue. You must have at least one source in this para.

· Second Body Para (10-15 lines): Explain one or two reasons on the AGAINST side of the issue. You must have at least one source in this para.

· Third Body Para (10-15 lines): Explain which side your group thinks is MORE valid/persuasive and why. You must have at least one source in this para.

· Conclusion (1 para, 5-7 lines): Summary
