Task 1 (Technical)

Providing Meaningful Care to Diverse Patient Population

The technical issue is a factor that we cannot be neglect for the success of any business organization. Every business organization needs to cope with the changing trends and new skills in outdoing their competitors. Baptist health uses the recently innovated digital technology to ensure they serve their patient in one of the best ways to capture the attention of the customers. The Florida-based Baptists Health system developed some modern tools that enable the patients to interact with the network across its facilities (Ogunmoroti et al., 2017). Due to the technological advancements across its facilities, the healthcare system can serve a large number of patients annually. More than fifty percent of these patients get the instructions through the health care system developed via technology. One of the technological advancements that give these instructions is Life Link chatbots, enabling the patients to follow the instructions and book appointments with the healthcare provider. Ogunmoroti et al. (2017) indicate that the traditional method of reaching outpatients through call centers was not giving better results making the new reach out system ideal, which are one of the critical factors that have led to the success of the Baptist Health South Florida (Ogunmoroti, et, al., 2017).

Baptist Health South Florida uses bots to contact every individual patient via texts, which recommends follow-up care with the healthcare provider who will take the responsibilities and help them schedule the appointments immediately they leave the emergency room. Ogunmoroti et al. (2017) acknowledge that the Life Link launching was very significant to the organization and probably the turning point of the healthcare system in Baptist Health South Florida, contributing to an increased number of follow-up appointments. The hospital can now contact every discharged patient for a close follow-up on the patient's progress (Ogunmoroti et al., 2017).

Another tool that significantly improved Baptist Health South Florida's healthcare system to assist during this coronavirus pandemic is a COVID-19 screener. The management made sure to be in line with the county and state care guidelines. The technology gives more details on risk factors of the virus, provides a list of signs and symptoms of the virus, and examines whether the patient should pass through the covid-19 test. The technology then routes the individual on the appropriate measures to take depending on the trial's test results. It also gives a hotline number that the patient can easily reach the healthcare provider to ensure the individual's safety (Ogunmoroti et al., 2017).

Ogunmoroti et al. (2017) say that engagement of the patient in an appropriate way by the institutions makes the consumers feel part of the organization leading to a higher number of clients and success of the organization. The role played by Baptist Health South Florida by engaging the patients indicates the degree to which the healthcare system develops a good relationship with the clients making most patients choose the organization. According to Ogunmoroti et al. (2017), it is essential to recognize that the technological advancements used here may require huge capitation, which, if not appropriately examined, may lead to losses in the organization. However, the organization does take risks in ensuring the quality of healthcare services is a critical factor to their services. The expertise employed too adds to the quality and technologies together achieve the ideal goals that every healthcare system would wish to achieve (Ogunmoroti et al., 2017).
