The following questions are all tests of significance with either one, two or multiple samples. Make sure to include all formulas and be clear with your work. Make sure no student in your group goes outside the group to share any data. This is considered cheating and will be punishable.
Question 1) 10 Marks
The MacBurger restaurant has an administrative policy that the serving time for their drive through customers is 8 minutes. However, the new manager made some changes (treatment) in an effort to improve the serving time. The manager wants to know if the changes were successful using a 0.05 level of significance. A sample of 64 patrons revealed a mean of 8.5 minutes with a standard deviation of 2.64. What is your conclusion based on this data?
Question 2) 10 Marks
The broker for ABC Real Estate recently noticed that male agents were selling lesser expensive homes than females. A sample of 49 homes sold by males, revealed a mean price of $350,000. A similar sample of 64 homes sold by females, revealed a mean price of $360,000. The population standard deviation for males is known to be $21,000 and for the females is $24,000. What is your conclusion assuming a 0.05 level of significance?
Question 3 10 Marks
The following table presents the results of an ANOVA from an experiment comparing four groups with samples of n = 10 in each group. Complete the missing values in the table and assuming Fcrit=6, what conclusion would you make regarding the null hypothesis?

Question 4 10 Marks
At a 0.05 level of significance, what is your conclusion?
Ho: P1 = P2 = P3 = P4
Ha: P1 ≠ P2 ≠ P3 ≠ P4
Question 5) 10 Marks
A longitudinal study of 14 students was done with a test before and after a treatment was applied. The treatment is designed to reduce the level of a specific chemical in the body. Using a 0.05 level of significance was the treatment effective? Results of the two samples are shown below.
