Learning Guide Unit 3
Learning Guide Unit 3
Group Activity
Group Activity:
As a group, you will create a presentation that will be due at the end of Module 7. APA format and
citations are required from outside resources are needed. Because this will be a document that was
created by all of the members in your group, all group members must turn in a copy of the same
document. Only group work is submitted to the Instructor for an assessment; individual papers do not
meet the requirements of the assignment and will receive a zero.
Overview:
Assessment (both of students and of self) plays a vital role in student/teacher relationships and the
classroom environment. How student assessments are created and given can contribute to either a
positive or negative student/teacher rapport and classroom environment. For example, when students
have a choice in assessments, studies show that they are more likely to perform well, thus improving
their positive attitude towards the class. Understanding and presenting different ways to assess
students can help you choose the most appropriate assessments for your future classroom, and the
ones that contribute to a more positive classroom experience. Additionally, researching self-reflection
techniques can help you become a more reflective educator in regards to creating a positive classroom.
Prompt:
As a group, you will create a presentation using the platform of your choice (Prezi, PowerPoint, Google
Slides, etc.) due in Unit 7:
