Problem Solving – DMAIC Model An approach to problem solving
DMAIC defines the steps a Six Sigma practitioner is expected to follow, starting with identifying the problem and ending with the implementation of long lasting-solutions.
The Six Sigma Methodology is made up of five stages: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control.
Each has highly defined steps to assure a level of discipline in seeking a solution to any variation or defect present in a process.
You can add more insights on how DMAIC problem solving work and relate to day to day job.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
The XYZ company had a 210 total number employee in the year 2010, the payroll personnel processed and released the employee’s salary ahead of time or on time. Since year 2017, the number of project continue to increase at the same time the number of workers grew and reached 400 total employees, begin to feel the delay of the salary of the employees because, with 2 payroll personnel processing of 400 employees takes 8 days to process the payroll manually which should be only 5 days which led to salary delays. This has resulted in many complaints and layoffs of employees.
GOAL STATEMENT
Improve payroll processing by getting a payroll system to be able to process a large number of employees within the target day which is 5 days and able to produce accurate and timely report by 2021.
