Thesis Statement: While some viewers don't like it because of the social issues they address, Greys Anatomy has changed my life for the better, it got me look into my future career of

working in a hospital and put me on the track I am on today.

1. Grey’s Anatomy talks about real life issues

A. Brings light to the LGBTQ people. 1. Two of the main characters are females that get married, 2. One of those main characters is Bi-sexual who has a daughter with a man but

also has a wife. B. Grey’s Anatomy has a very diverse cast.

1. It is a very diverse cast, there is an African American chief of surgery. 2. Let’s not forget that every single resident shows there past experiences and you

expect everyone to be “snobby” rich family doctors that had there future chosen for them before they were born,that is not the case it shows how people have to get to wok to where they want to get.

II. Grey’s anatomy shows everyone that no matter who you are we all have hard bumps in the road.

A. Jo Wilson (a character) reveals that she has an abusive husband and this episode’s name is the Domestic Violence Number 1-800-799-7233

1.Many women are afraid to come forward and this shows them they are not alone

2. It shows the viewers that domestic violence just doesn’t affect the victim it affects everyone around them as well. B. Grey’s Anatomy is very inspirational and educational

1. A Lot of the character’s give some very good advice in each episode 2. Now that I work in a hospital when i see an IV in a patient's arm or when

someone’s code how they respond is actually entertaining to me, because it is all completely wrong that is not how it is to be in a hospital.

3. The educational aspect of them explaining surgeries and go into detail about how to perform them and what happens, that is all correct information.

III. Grey’s anatomy is a rollercoaster of emotions, but it is inspirational to me. A. Losing characters that I grown attached to.

1. There is a alot of death in this show, but it shows you with death you must move forward and let growth happen.

B. I have chosen to work in the healthcare field. 1. I loved this show so much, i looked into working in the healthcare field after

watching it, and it is not nearly the same as what is on the TV, but I have been working in it for 5 years and couldn’t be happier.
