1st Locate a Grant: Find a grant proposal advertised by organizations such as NIH, NSF, Kellogg Foundation etc. in the area of your interest. It is okay even if the grant announcement has expired. Pick one, to write a grant proposal about. (Must include the announcement link)

In the first page, insert the announcement link including:

· The announcement link

· Title

· FOA/Notice Number

· Issuing Organization

· Release Date

· Expiration Date

· Activity Code

2nd Write the Grant Proposal: Although the format of a grant proposal varies depending on the agency's guidelines. THUS, review the grant announcement guidelines by the agency you pick carefully to find out the specific requirements and organization for your own proposal.

· For example, if you picked a grant announcement issued by NIH, you should follow NIH guidelines (elements need to covered in the Grant proposal you write).

HOWEVER, your Grant Proposal cover the following elements:

· Public Health Problem [Part 1]

· Literature Review [Part 1]

· Objectives [Part 1]

· Description of the Program [Part 1]

· Methods [Part 1]

· Participants , Measures, Data collection Methods, Plan for Analysis, Timeline, Budget [will be added for Part 2]

For now just cover Part 1 elements, you may have to apply some elements from the agency guidelines as well.
