In this regard, the Orlando Police Department (OPD) has an objective and a mission to get the Step-up Brothers and Sisters Mentorship Program up and running which is aimed at ensuring that not only the youth are offered help to curb some of the challenges they face due to exposure to risks. The OPD has the mandate of making sure that the community gets some of this assistance. Various areas have been affected by these risk factors for the youth, such as Mercy Drive, Malibu Groves, and Roosevelt Park. These areas have faced a rapid increase in risk factors such as exposure to drugs, crime, and prostitution because the youth is not offered any support.

There are operations aimed at helping these youth and have to take place within 12 months. Some of the goals that the OPD will aim to achieve in the implementation period include identifying the key communities that are highly affected and in need of help, boosting the number of police officers in the areas as well as locate causes of these problems such as gangs and other illegal groups that may impact the youth. This initiative is crucial as it aims to offer the community measures of preventing crimes and other tips for improving safety. The OCPS, in this regard, will play a key role in showing the community some of the measures they can use to bring up effective measures of neighborhood surveillance. This will also include enforcing a cost-effective program that will enable the community members to keep an eye on their society and ensure no bad influence over their youth, such as drug dealers, are allowed within their society. The plan here is to perform these operations on a running overtime basis within the regular hours at the OPD.

Justification: Roles and responsibilities of each position

1. The director of the project/ Subject coordinator (Mr. Don Karl) will be responsible for keeping in check with the day-to-day oversight of all grants, and thus he will serve as the key staff in charge of the daily operations.

2. The project & programs assistant (Mr./Mrs. Danie Doe) - will be tasked with being present in all information sessions and attending networking events. Through this, the details of all the training and available resources will be offered and distributed to all project staff via memorandum.

3. The patrol officers of OPD will be highly effective in looking for the severely affected districts regarding curbing the levels of crime. They will also be tasked with finding the offenders in the chosen areas and, after that arresting them. After gathering all the statistics, the OPD will come up with a highly comprehensive strategy to teach all at-risk youth about the reduction of crime through various programs such as explorer schemes which will be aimed at deterring the youth from committing any form of crimes or getting involved in activities that are against the law. The OPD will enroll the youths at risk in programs aimed at mentoring them and becoming good citizens within their communities after school and before getting into adulthood.

4. Field Training Officers will be tasked with supervising the overall development and production of new officers in the OPD. These will also be responsible for offering survival training and training officers to meet all the job needs regarding development. They will also ensure that all shifts go according to plan and that all officers are well equipped with all the crucial skills they need to deal with offenders, especially when required to communicate with the gangs or get into some highly culturally diverse conversations.

Justification: Purpose of local travel and how to travel/lodging is determined

1. Expenses of traveling will be offered to four members of the staff, project director, the assistant, the lead patrol officer as well as the field training officer to attend a national training institute as well as the Step-up Brothers and Sisters Mentorship Program conference (their annual conference) at a set location and venue. 

2. Local travel is key and therefore is required for employees to attend council gatherings about the program and development, to carry out community outreach, and to facilitators of all workshops of the OPD. The traveling fee is therefore determined through the use of both department-owned as well as private vehicles OPD policies and guidelines.

3. The director of the project, the assistant, and the sworn staff involved in the project are allowed and entitled to use a 24-hour vehicle that is not marked. This will enable them to avail themselves whenever a need arises.

4. FTO OPD and patrol officers are allowed to drive their assigned cars/vehicles between work and home with privileges allowing them to take the cars with them when they leave their job to head home.

5. The chief of the police has given the green light to transferring police officers (law enforcement officers) from either local or non-state departments because of the previous awareness of the director of the program.

Justification for the use of Equipment and Supplies

1. Computer-Aided Dispatch or CAD will serve as the main element of the OPD's PSAP, and this will be key in helping the organization create awareness of crime and, at the same time, decrease reaction. The CAD system offers real-time viewing of information. At the same time, it ensures no repetition of the data entered and thus provides streamlining regarding the operations carried out by the patrol officers.

2. There will be one main HUB computer at the administrative office, allowing data transfer at the end of each change. All laptops will be connected to the company network for the primary purpose of records or urban crime and administration reasons.

3. All the equipment for carrying out administrative meetings and papers, archives, and other facilities will be provided to ensure that all tasks are carried out well and efficiently. Other resources such as internet access and telephone will play a vital role in ensuring that the community watchers and other project workers are connected.

Consultants

Through conducting evaluation, the program has a chance of succeeding. Through assessments, the OPD is guaranteed a keen follow-up to ensure that the program is satisfying its envisioned goals, and it also helps ensure that there is sustained funding. OPD will employ Hillard Heintze consultants in the course of the project as external evaluators. The consultants have the much-needed experience, having been in the business since 2004. The consultants also have the ability to give their findings in time, and their performance is good. They also provide key value in ensuring that there is the practice of effective communication, especially with the targeted audience, and extensive knowledge of what needs to be done to meet the program's goals.

Justification for In-Kind Donations

$75.00 per month x (12 months) = $900 plus an additional 15% off for business which will be used to cover materials for the meeting from the office depot regarding getting executive sessions, marketing, and conferences. Other materials such as file boxes, binders, and brochures etc. will cost approximately $100.00 per month, and this multiplied by the term of the grant = 12 months will be equal to 100 x 12 = $1200 + 15 percent off for business.

Other costs will include wireless communication and internet services provided by Spectrum Telecommunication at the cost of 300 dollars per month = 300 x 12 = $3600.

Brochures on public safety can be accessed through the national police email. Another main issue is the OPD database that contains everything from contributions received from non-profit and profit organizations such as Colleges, churches, LQBTQ groups, and other stakeholders. The database is under the management of Hillard Heintze advisors.

Final Draft Executive Summary

Regarding the at-risk youths, they can face complex challenges that are hard to overcome in most cases. Some many problems and challenges are associated with at-risk youth, such as being forced to make poor decisions, failing in school, and having a high chance of ending up behind bars. Lack of guidance and support from their families for those who have them is a key aspect of leading these youths into the system. In this summary, we'll offer all the necessary information regarding my proposal on a mentorship program called step-up brothers and sisters.

Purpose

The key goal here is to lower the violence involving the youth in high-risk communities by coming up with the development and implementation of highly comprehensive youth programs that are highly informed regarding evidence on preventive interventions used by youth violence prevention centers. 

These kinds of youths usually live in lower-income communities, and in most cases, they are found at home with single parents. Therefore, this usually means that they have unstable backgrounds, and their environment is prevalent to crime and high levels of poverty. The primary purpose of step-up brothers and sisters is to make sure that these affected youths are given a chance at accessing these opportunities just like the rest of the youths. The step-up brothers and sister’s mentorship program are committed to ensuring that the youth are offered help to curb some of these challenges, and the entire community gets some of this assistance. Therefore, with this grant in hand, the step-up brothers and sisters mentorship program has a huge chance of ensuring that the right kind of assistance is offered to the youth, and therefore, they are protected by this help and helped to avoid ending up in jail or worse.

The entire process of growing up can be a challenge to many on its own, and this can even be made worse by the fact of growing up without any form of assistance from a family

structure. Family support is crucial in this process of growing and getting a good life. Step-up Brothers and sisters is a key mentorship program with a significant goal of mentoring, motivating, and most importantly, encouraging the youth who come into contact with the program. This mentorship program will comprise many individuals passionate about the youth and are interested and are highly motivated to help change their lives.

As a group and team, the mentorship program will work hand-in-hand to ensure that the youth are well mentored, taught, and motivated to take on life in a much more positive direction. The overall purpose is to ensure that the future for these youth is secured, and therefore, the local communities and businesses at large do not end up suffering as a result of the youth. One of the main goals of the step-up brothers and sister's mentorship program is to
