Class Presentation Requirements

Technical Skills

1. Your topic can be about a feature in an app we used during the term or application

software you use that you think will be helpful to your classmates. You must teach

your classmates the feature and show a demo on how to use.

2. Your presentation MUST be ready on time to explain, demo and have a class exercise

3. Approximately 5 to 10 Slides, no more than 5 minutes

4. Must include a title slide with your name, course name and month and year

5. Must include a brief “Introduction” to the topic. Why it is useful, how to get the app,

cost

6. Apply a theme or template

a. Apply a transition to each slide.

b. Demonstrate a professional use of animation (no bouncing, spinning or blinking).

c. The following can be applied in a professional manner:

i. Video, music or sound effects.

ii. Format background using a picture

7. Graphics – must have pictures, etc.

a. Graphics must be formatted using skills learned in class.

b. Graphics must be crisp and clear

8. Smart Art – must be included on at least 2 slides

9. Graphs/Tables/Charts

a. One Table or Chart or Graph must be included

10. First and Last name in the footer, date and slide number.

Professional Skills

A Successful Professional Presentations will include the following:

1. Content

a. Your information is interesting and engaging

b. You are well informed on your topic

2. Organization

a. Ideas are organized in a logical manner

b. Focus, do not get off topic

3. Graphics/Media

a. Graphics/media improved the presentation and their placement was

creative

4. Layout and Design

a. Slide balance (6x6 Rule)

b. Good colors/contrast

c. Font size

5. Delivery

a. Maintain eye contact

b. Do not read off your slides

c. Speak loud and clearly
