Ashford University Library 2

The Ashford University Library does have its pros and cons. Overall, it’s a vast compilation of material which covers a number of different topics. My biggest issue in using the Ashford Library was in trying to find the right verbiage to yield the results I was looking for. Typically, I try and think outside of the box for written assignments. Unfortunately, that thinking didn’t always translate well when trying to use the “search” function within the database. And then there were times when I couldn’t remember exactly what I’d previously typed in, when trying to go back to an article I had previously used and forgotten to cite.
On the opposite end, though, the Ashford University Library did improve my experience in conducting research because I was confident that the content was sound and accurate and coming from reputable sources. At the collegiate level and above, when writing proposals, or drafting any type of document, your credibility and credentials can be compromised if you provide inaccurate information. Using the University Library took away that worry. It was a great way to type in one topic and get many different references on that topic. Sometimes, while researching one thing, the content in the library led me to consider a different point and delve into researching it as well.
