The minimum wage change
The bill being proposed by democrats, has been received negatively by republicans.
The US government democrats currently has 50 votes in the senate
The vote is likely to be successful
Democrats and republicans argument
There are many republicans opposing the bill
For example, Senator Tom Cotton and Mitt Romney
Republicans argue that the increase should happen at all
Democrats argue that the coronavirus has borne huge financial burden to citizens
Advantages of increasing minimum wage
It would narrow the racial gaps.
This would improve infant health and reduce child abuse and teenage pregnancy
Will lead to increased employee retention and reduced hiring and training costs.
Poverty reduction.
Fuel economic growth.
Save taxpayers money and reduce use of government programs.
Finally doing so will finally solve the top 1 percent and CEOs contributing to Americas growing inequality crisis.
conclusion
29 states in the United States already have a minimum wage higher than that of the federal level
The minimum wage increase will benefit all low-income earners in the U.S.
Contrary to opposers opinion, raising the minimum wage does not lead to job loss.
