        My name is Beverly, This is my first time attending to cypress college and doing an online class, This course is one of the prerequisite required for my major,my goal is to finish college and be a Dental Hygienist, I am currently working as a registered dental assistant on a pediatric dental office, and I have a 2 year old son, which made me come back to school, he is very picky on what he eat, by the end of the course, i'm looking forward  to have better understanding about nutrition ,to prepare healthy foods for my family and to share healthy options to patients to have a better smile :)and same as everyone to pass the class with high score :) ,working and being a mom will be difficult but allotting several hours per subject per week, asking questions, and there is a student support,focus and be determined, I think online course will be a success,i'm planning to check my canvas everyday, try to do the assignments ahead of time.Take care and God Bless everyone.

Hello everyone,

My name is Lorenzo Bettencourt, and this is my third year at Cypress. I am currently undecided in my major but I am currently in Business. I live with my older sister, my mom, and my stepdad and I visit my grandparents often. We all come from a Portuguese background, however, only my grandparents were born there, specifically in the Azores Islands. My mom, sister, and I were all born here.  I had heard of this class through some other students at Cypress, and they all seemed to enjoy it, so I am eager to see what it entails. This is not my first online class, so to those who are starting with online classes for the first time, I implore that you still treat this as you would a regular class. While I myself enjoy online classes, there is still work. I suggest that if you can, get assignments done early, as most won't be due right away. I'm looking forward to learn more about this subject and I hope you all get the most of it too!
