My topic is “should people wear animal fur or leather clothes”. People should not wear animal fur or leather is my stance. I have watched a video about peeled living rabit’s skin before. I was heartbroken when I saw its eyes. It was full of desperation. After I watched it, I went online to search why people want to peel off living animal skins. Then I understood it was for animal fur! I was shocked. It was so cruelly! I found that in addition to rabbits, many animals are killed for their fur such as fox, lynx, scorpion, cattle and sheep. After reading that, I have a new question: is it legal? I read more articles for finding this answer. In article “San Francisco, a city central to early U.S. fur trade, just banned fur sales”, I knew it is illegal in San Francisco now but it is still legal in many cities and countries. There are millions of fur and leather business in the world.The fur companies’ profit is very high. There are many animals that can make fur, which is very precious, the more precious animals are, the more expensive their skin is. However, because of high profit, many people go to illegal poaching. Fortunately, fur and leather clothes were fashionable in the past, now more and more fashionable brands begin to resist fur such as Gucci, Armani and Stella McCartney. I hope the paper I will write next will encourage more people to reject animal fur.
