Foundations of Data Science

For businesses big and small, there is a growing reliance on digital technology, but as technological advancements occur at an increasingly rapid rate, the challenge becomes how best to keep up with these changes.

CDU’s Digital Upskilling courses have been developed specifically to bridge that gap, providing students with a timely and relevant digital skillset suited to both entry level and experienced IT professionals.

COURSE DESCRIPTION This course introduces students to foundational concepts and skills in data science and statistics. Students will be introduced to important elements in a modern data analytics ecosystem and learn descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, including simple yet effective data visualisations using established data science platforms and tools.

COURSE OUTCOME Upon successful completion of the course, students will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement and a Digital Badge (a recognised online token validating the student’s accomplishments).
