Video Link: “The Coin Song” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ARNqyQ0CuY

Summary of the video: This video is a catchy song that identifies the four most commonly used U.S. coins and their values. The video repeatedly shows each coin while singing its name and value so that students can sing along.

Place to be used in the lesson: Anticipatory Set.

Relevance/Benefit: The repetitive nature will enable students to learn the song easily so that it can be repeated throughout a unit on money. This rehearsal will aid in memorizing the names and values of the coins and lead into actually counting money as well as writing out the values using cent signs, decimals, and dollar signs.
