Statement of work for a website development project
Background
Marbol consulting company has been facing issues in terms of reaching out to the customers in a fast and efficient manner. Most of the customers have complained that, the business world is becoming more and more dynamic and thus the need to move the business to a digital platform that can allow many customers to be served within short time duration. Competitors in the industry have also adopted the online aspect and hence, the risk of losing the company’s potential customers. The company therefore will need to develop an online platform that can facilitate easier interaction and offer the needed service to the clients.
Objective
To develop a reliable and interactive platform whereby, the consultants can engage with the customers effectively.
Scope
The idea is to effectively plan, executive, implement and train the employees on how to use the website. The web designer will negotiate with Marbol consulting about the terms of the contract and deliver the required product.
Tasks
Analyzing the needs
At this stage, the client needs will be obtained and a clear understanding obtained so as to set the basis of what the website will entail.
Researching ideas and sketching
Brainstorming will take place at this point and the designer will sketch various ideas about the website.
Wireframes
A blueprint of the website will be prepared which will basically show how the website will look like and what it will present to the users.
Style tiles
The visual preferences of the customers will be taken into consideration and kept ready to be executed.
Prototype
A model of the website will be prepared through the use of various aspects like Photoshop to provide a clear indication of how the website will look like.
Development
The website will be designed as per the laid out plan and all the features included
Training
The consultants and some clients will be trained on how to use the website as well as testing done to ensure they are confortable to use it.
Selection criteria
Selecting the vendor will follow the organization’s policies. The vendor with quality, affordable and great experience in addition to positive reviews will be selected.

Security
The organization and the involved stakeholders will participate in ensuring security.
Place of performance
All the processes will be taking place within Marbol premises.
Period of performance
The project will run from March 2019 up to June 2019. It will take 4 months.
