Abstract
The American Psychological Association (APA) guidelines provide rules for preparing manuscripts. The APA guidelines define an abstract a brief summary of the paper, allowing readers to quickly review the main points and purpose of the paper. The abstract should be between 150-250 words. Abbreviations and acronyms used in the paper should be defined in the abstract. Do not indent the first line of the abstract paragraph. All other paragraphs in the paper should be indented.

Introduction
You will present the problem that the paper addresses. You do not need to include the articles you found in this paragraph. You may wish to use another reference (e.g., media, textbook). In the rest of the paper, you will provide information on both of the articles you found. You can describe similarities in the articles and their differences. Be sure to include why these articles are important to include. Also, because all research has its limitations, it is important to discuss the limitations of the articles under examination.

These are your headings, so they are centered and bolded
These are subheading, so they are bolded and aligned left
Introduction (I don’t need the Introduction subheading but if it is easier for you to use, that is fine. You can just start your introduction paragraph after Study 1 without the subheading. It is up to you. The other subheadings are required though.)

Conclusion and Future Research
The conclusion restates the problem the paper addresses, how all the articles are related or not related and offer areas for further research.
Citation
Perhaps the most important part of APA style is citation and references. As you write, you should be continually citing your work. Every time you draw information from an outside source, even if you have put it into your own words, you must provide a citation back to the original source. This is usually done by providing the last name of the author and the year that the source was published in parentheses at the end of the relevant sentence. The author’s last name corresponds with the entry on the References page, allowing readers to look up the source of the citation.
The following sentences illustrate some examples of how to cite within the body of the paper. Proper citation is absolutely key to academic integrity (Smith, 2013). According to Jones, many students who fail to cite their sources will receive poor grades for their work (2012). In a 2011 article, Brown makes the case that citing sources will make academic work more authoritative, giving the student an air of trustworthiness.
Direct quotes (the use of the exact words from the original source) should be kept to a minimum. In cases where there is absolutely no other way to accurately state a piece of information, or if the exact wording used by an author is in itself important (such as a line from a novel), then direct quotes may be used. They should, however, be fewer than four lines long, and should not be used too frequently. Direct quotes should be in quotation marks, and a page number should be provided along with the author and date in the citation. The following sentence illustrates a properly cited direct quote. According to Brown, “Without properly citing authoritative sources for their papers, some students may find themselves receiving poor grades.” (2013, p. 36)
References
Start the references list on a new page, center the title “References,” and alphabetize the entries. Do not underline or italicize the title. Double-Space all entries. Every source mentioned in the paper should have an entry. The second line of the references receive a hanging indent.
