Formative Task 2: Report Outline, Analysis of one Source, Paraphrasing

This is the second formative task which will help you develop your Extended Project further.

Once you have completed parts 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3 below please submit this task for feedback via Turnitin on the VLE.

N.B. Your submission title must be your student number (e.g. P102648).

2.1. Structuring your report

In Formative Task 1 you have chosen a project topic and key research questions you want to address in your Extended Project. Once you have carried out your project research you will need to write a report about it. This task will help you with the organisation of your written report. Think about the main goals and aims of your project before you begin to plan your report:

What is the overall aim of your extended project?

It’s a academic study about traditional media institutions, and what they needs to become modern media institutions?

How can you break this down into individual sections which you can include in your report? List them down here:

· Introduction

· Section Two – examples of old media institutions that it convert themselves to a modern media institution

In Section Two, I will write about situation of traditional media institutions right now, and what they have done already. And I will talk about specific examples.

The author descried the finical problem that traditional media institutions, but I believe that he described it in a socialist way. Although, he was fantastic in a point what the employees of traditional media institutions have lost.

The researcher Ying Cheng have analysed the problems of traditional media institutions, and one of these problems is the people who manage it has an old mentality, and he said “its employees' ideas are relatively old and backward”. There is no doubt that he was true in these, because many of these institutions has closed.
