English and Arabic
Formation of comparative form أفعل aCCaC pattern
اكبر, أطول, اصغر
I have to check if the competition between the formation of comparative form and periphrastic form
For example we can say هو اكبر مني but we can not say هو كبير اكتر مني
Either we use افعل or we can use (more) اكتر for adjectives that have more than>>
There are some cases in Palestinian spoken Arabic where adjectives have prefixes like محبوب مشهور مغرور
أشهر من / او مشهور اكثر
We have to check for several adjectives which form is clearer, how many examples we found of اشهر من or مشهور اكثر, اكثر مشهور
Here we have competition between morphological formation and syntactic formation
We have to check which one is more productive : for example for محبوب it is more common to say mahbo:b aktar محبوب اكترrather than ahbab احبب *
Input : adj
Rule: adj in aCCaC pattern
Output: adj in comparative form
First step : We have to make a list of adjectives that begin with "m" متطرف متواضع مغرور محبوب مشهور
