Create a flowchart to help fellow teachers evaluate the complexity of authentic texts. Your flowchart must contain a minimum of 6 steps or components.

Consider using a Microsoft® Office® program or an online tool to design your flowchart.

As you create your flowchart, refer to the research you conducted in the Tools for Examining Text Complexity activity, the topic " Text Complexity " on the Achieve the Core website, and the "Assessing Text Complexity" section in Ch. 4 of Content Area Reading.

Include specific guidelines and references to tools within your flowchart. You may also add links to additional resources or tools within the flowchart.
