Submission Feedback

Overall Feedback

Dear,

In a general sense your paper is satisfactory, but there are some important issues you need to revise before you re-write and submit your paper. I am sure that you will submit a better paper:

First of all, your paper needs longer and somewhat detailed introduction and better conclusion. Also, your introduction is disorganized. The knowledge you provided should be presented orderly. Introduction should not be long or short. It gets readers ready for the rest of the paper, conveys the argument and main topics of the paper, and provide some introductory knowledge regarding the subject.

Second, " the forgiveness for Adam" does not seem to be a theme in the chapter. Instead, story of Adam sounds more thematic. You can make necessary change in the introduction and in the paragraph you discussed this theme.

Third, if you use non-English words in your paper like ArafahJannah etc. you should write them in Italic. Also, you should explain/define them. You can either write its English translation into parentheses or define/explain in a separate sentence.

Fourth, organization should be fluent. There are some parts which are not clear if it is the continuing part of the previous paragraph or if it is a new paragraph. As I understand, they are the continuing part. Therefore, they should be merged with that paragraph. If you do not want your paragraphs to be long, you can split them into two, but be sure to indent the new paragraph.

Fifth, some paragraphs are filled with your own explanations and opinions while some of them have two quotations in a row without enough elaboration. Please do not forget to weave your explanations with quotations in a balanced way. I am happy to see your ideas, opinions, and points, but that should be in balance. If you give a long explanation and then provide quotations at the end, that paragraph does not help you discuss the subject in a decent and strong way.

Sixth, read and re-read your revised paper after you complete it and before submit it. There are a few grammar errors and style-related flaws.

Seventh, in some parts, it is hard to make a direct and reasonable connection between the quotes you provided and the explanations you made. You should check each paragraph and be sure to build a strong and convincing connections between explanations/discussions and quotations.

Please let me know if you have any questions and/or if you want to schedule a Zoom meeting during my office hours to discuss your paper and the ways to make it better.

Analysis of the Taha Surah from the Quran

The directing section of Surah Taha is to manipulate and provide guidance for those who disbelieve, obey, ask for forgiveness, and follow the rules applied by Allah. There will be a day of judgment when the group of disbelievers will be in the fire of hell, Adam was let go after forgiveness and believers get their rewards. The properties of the Quran have taught in diverse ways to indulge the capacity of understating things with different perspectives. The five themes that will be discussed in Surah 20 are the oneness of God, the judgment day for disbelievers, the forgiveness for Adam, the Guidance to believers, and finally is that the Quran is an Illuminating light for humans.

There is no God, except Allah and the belief for this is to understand what things should be monitored after accepting this Oneness of God. One of the themes in this Surah is the oneness of God. The dignity and superiority of Allah is higher and cannot be judged by any means. He is the One Who ordered to build the world and the whole universe within three days. A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens (Q 20:4). There is no creator and to whom humans should seek help when they are in any kind of misery. God has created the part of every soul and to this world, it is not difficult for Him. It is defined as “But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah]” (Q 20:3). It is indeed the most empowered projection of God with many clues for the creation of this earth and heavenly bodies interacting with such compassion. God has blessed with every blessing to create things from earth and water, fire, and the direction of wind for more energy sources. Fruits, trees, forests, animals, and all the different seasons have their identification and distinction from one another.

The order of maintaining the environment and calculating the aspects of the earth God has planned to do everything with right directed perspectives. Arranging all the segments, compiling the universe and the human body is an art of God that cannot be justified with any other examples except the Quran. The clues for the existence of God are described by the verse “And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden (Q 20:7)”. This describes the visibility and invincibility of God that made this world so efficient to work and to seek for help from God.

The key point over living life on this planet is that it will end one day. This is defined and cannot be changed. A second theme in this surah is the judgment day for disbelievers. Those who have spent their lives fulfilling their needs and claiming to become more superior will decline and they will see the wrath of Allah that day. On this day so-called the day of resurrection, all people from the beginning of this world till the end will be gathered in the ground of Arafah. To continue good deeds and to seek for helping hands, creating pathways for people, spending money in the way of God and many other deeds will be put on one side. All human beings will seek for help and show grieves for what they did when they were alive. To secure Jannah there will be restrictions and commitment with the Quran and the instructions given by Allah and His Prophet (P.B.U.H). At that time Israfil will be blowing the trumpet and rain will occur for the regrowth of human beings. Surah Taha has described and direct us to follow the commands of God, prevent ourselves from bad deeds and doings. This is the only chance to live once and to secure life after “Whoever turns away from it - then indeed, he will bear on the Day of Resurrection a burden (Q 20:100)”.

“Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives (Q 20:15)”. Those who get the reward and studied the Quran will get their deeds in the right hands; this will ensure the prevalence of justice by God and offend those who did not perform well. “Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress (Q 20:45). This verse depicts the creativity of God concerning put everything back to shape from bad deeds and purify them with a good one. The power of God is seen in the survival of all and the point to assure is to provide a solution for every problem.

The forgiveness of Adam is another theme found in the surah. From the beginning of the earth, God has created every aspect with a precise manner and capability to retain identity for recognition and justification. God made human beings to most superior even that he ordered angels to bow before Adam. All angels bowed and respect the order of Allah, but Iblis did not follow the instruction and refuse to bow in front of Adam. The governance of Allah All-mighty has given a direction to Adam for living a peaceful life without interacting and bad deeds. If did so them harmful punishment will be given to those who disobeyed. God has taught Adam about the world with all of its perspectives by keeping a safe journey and praising to God and asking help only from God. “And We had already taken a promise from Adam before, but he forgot; and We found not in him determination (Q 20: 115).”

“Indeed, we have believed in our Lord that He may forgive us our sins and what you compelled us [to do] of magic. And Allah is better and more enduring (Q 20:73)”. Those who follow the guidance with proper functional assets and try to understand the Quran will reach their destination peacefully without any hindrance. “Indeed, whoever comes to his Lord as a criminal - indeed, for him is Hell; he will neither die therein nor live (Q 20:74)”.

The guidance to believers is also a very important theme found in this surah. It is described for those who believe in the creation and commands of God, seeking blessing and prosperity with the beneficial ending of their life from God. In this world, the trends have been set with diverse inventions gathered around the brain of human beings. The manipulations for believers are to look for signs given by God for studying nature and science. It was never too late to understand what has to be done with perfection and how to utilize the skills and vision provided by God to read Quran. Believe to secure relations with parents and family members attaining the higher rank for the journey to Jannah. Provide with an example and try to understand the culture of Islam that spread by the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H). Gardens of perpetual residence beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally. And that is the reward of one who purifies himself (Q 20:76)”. With proper signs and clues world came into existence for believers it is an easy way to carry their rewards and score more good deeds. Those who disbelieve will be destroyed not in the world but their life after death will be miserable. Eat from the good things with which We have provided you and do not transgress [or oppress others] therein, lest My anger should descend upon you. And he upon whom My anger descends has certainly fallen (Q 20:81)”. It is also described as in Quran “Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance (Q 20:14)”.

The last theme is that the Quran is an illuminating light for humans. The remembrance of good deeds and performance of prayer in front of One God, clues of the existence of earth, and all things are described in the Quran. It is the Book of guidance and justice to those who are not aware of the other side of life. They will murmur among themselves, "You remained not but ten [days in the world] (Q 20:103)”. The guidance power of the Quran can be described by this verse “But he who does of righteous deeds while he is a believer - he will neither fear injustice nor deprivation (Q 20:112)”. It comes at different places that the ultimate guardian for the world is the only one Allah. “Fear not. Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see (Q 20:46)”.

In conclusion, the Taha surah has defined the most important objectives that there is no God, except Allah. The creation of the earth and other bodies is in the complete guidance of God. There are certain factors where humans misdirect the path with false beliefs. But the Quran has the power to enlighten their minds and to cure their pains and grieves effectively. This can be done by the remembrance of the Day of Judgment, forgiveness of Adam, and the rule for disbelievers.
