Fishbone Analysis What is it?: A fishbone diagram helps team members visually diagram a problem or condition root causes, allowing them to truly diagnose the problem rather than focusing on symptoms. It allows team members to separate a problem's content from its history, and allows for team consensus around the problem and its causes.

Examples: Please look at the two examples to see how the researcher brainstormed causes that contributed to the effect (in this case the issue you are addressing your map twin neighborhood).

Directions: Choose one of the provided templates to complete a fishbone analysis for your research. You should brainstorm what is truly contributing to the issue pertaining to your research to provide a visual representation to your audience.
